  2. How can I find systematic reviews on the topic of aerobic fitness and elementary school students.

  4. How do I find peer-reviewed articles on policing in the US? 
  5. I'm doing research on the Women's Suffrage movement. How do I find more information about this? I'm particularly interested in learning more about Sojourner Truth and her role in the Women's Suffrage movement. 
  6. While helping a student with research for an upcoming paper, the student becomes very frustrated, says he doesn't even know where to start and is ready to give up.  How do you respond?
  7. A graduate nursing student is writing a research paper on vaccine safety—she is interested in researching findings from original studies and clinical trials. Find at least three resources for her.

Research questions from SU Students

  • Books and Articles mostly, but also and Primary Sources (though these make be tricky). I will be researching the use of illusion and realism in Tudor Era portraiture, focusing mainly on Queen Elizabeth I and King Henry VIII, but also touching on Queen Mary I and King Edward VI for comparison. Physical descriptions of the monarchs would be very helpful. I want to look in to the difference of gender depiction when it comes to rulers.
  • Tropospheric Ozone Climatology of the US Gulf Coast
  • I need any academic sources (books/journals/articles/etc) pertaining to my capstone topic: television fandoms (ie fan bases of television shows) as religion. Sources that talk about pop culture as religion or sports as religion will also be helpful. Specifically within religion, I hope to focus on fandoms as ritual and on religious pilgrimage in fandoms.
  • Issues students (middle school) face in learning a language other than English. Need several articles less than 10 years old.
