What is "Fake News?"

Fake news is not news you disagree with. Rather, it is content generated by non-news organizations to drive eyeballs to ads (e.g., click bait) or to spread false information (gossip, conspiracy theories, pseudoscience, and propaganda, for example).

Ask a Librarian if you're unsure if something is fake or credible. A healthy news diet consists of multiple sources of information.
