SU Scholar is Southwestern University's institutional repository, preserving and providing access to content created by members of the University. It collects scholarly and creative works produced by faculty, students, and other members of the Southwestern University community. SU Scholar includes faculty working papers, journal articles, conference presentations, book chapters, and creative works. It also highlights the best in student work, including honors theses and select capstone projects.
SU Scholar is managed by the library in support of scholarship at Southwestern University. It is open-access compliant, with content freely accessible and searchable via Google Scholar and other search engines.
Search engine optimization Every article submitted to SU Scholar has metadata added to the record that aids discoverability by Google, Google Scholar, etc.
Visibility Your research will be available to the widest possible audience.
Citation impact Works published in repositories are cited more frequently than those that reside only behind a pay wall.
Stable URL The URL of your article will never change.
Meets grant criteria As a true open access repository, publishing in SU Scholar meets the data-sharing requirement of some grant-funded research; unlike ResearchGate, Academia.edu, etc. which are commercial entities.
Email us the accepted manuscript version of your publication, grant us permission to archive it via the Item Submission Form, and we will upload your publication to the repository. Or you can login to SU Scholar and upload your own content if you prefer.
Make submitting to SU Scholar part of your end of the semester routine! If you've published anything over the course of the semester, submit it to SU Scholar once you have turned in your grades and have a moment to catch your breath.
