Extended borrowing privileges

Items you check out from Smith Library Center related to your capstone can be borrowed for the entire semester. Be sure to alert the InfoDesk assistant when checking out an item for your capstone, and we will extend the due date. Interlibrary loan items are subject to the due date set by the lending library and are not eligible for capstone borrowing privileges.

UT Libraries / TexShare Card

You can borrow books directly from UT by getting a TexShare card from our InfoDesk. Take the TexShare card and your SU ID to the Courtesy Borrower Desk at the Perry Castaneda Library where you will be issued a free UT borrower card. The card will include a UT EID which can be used to search their electronic databases while you are at the UT libraries. Database access is limited to once a day for one hour. You will not be able to access UT's databases off site.
