A Sampling of the Mira Nair Materials in the Library

 

Mira Nair's Writer's Voice Appearance

Screenwriter and independent filmmaker Mira Nair was the library's 2010-11 Writer's Voice guest. Ms. Nair has directed both documentary and feature films; her best-known films  include Salaam Bombay, The Namesake, Mississippi Masala, and Monsoon  Wedding. Nair's films are available in the library and they vary in length from a few minutes to full feature-length.

 

Ms. Nair's public lecture on campus took place the evening of November 9 in  Alma Thomas Theater. While she was here, Ms. Nair met with classes,  attended a lunch with students, and was interviewed by a student, in addition to to delivering the lecture in Alma Thomas Theater and signing DVDs afterward.
