What is TexShare?
TexShare card program allows library patrons to borrow from other Texas libraries. The SLC is part of TexShare, therefore, SU students are elligible for a TexShare borrowing card. You can get borrowing privileges at UT Austin through TexShare.
Getting a TexShare Card
SU students can ask for TexShare cards at the SLC Circulation Desk on the first floor. Simply present your Pirate Card and the circulation staff will set you up.
Using your TexShare Card at UT
If you would like to borrow materials from the UT Libraries or use their electronic resources, you need to register with their Courtesy Borrower Program. Visit the Perry-Castaneda Library with your TexShare card to get started (even if you need to use a different UT library).
UT Austin's Fine Arts Library
has a large collection of theatre resources, as well as a large collection of music, both recordings and scores.
Once you get a TexShare card and register with the UT Libraries, you are welcome to use the Fine Arts Library collection and check out materials.
