If you don't find exactly the right book at our library and want to see what is available at other libraries, search WorldCat. The result list can be refined by format, language, and date to yield relevant results for this course. You can request these books through Get It!. Allow extra time, at least up to two weeks, for the books to be delivered.
How do you get items from other libraries? Via ILLIAD, our interlibrary loan system. Use your SU user name and password to logon to ILLIAD. The first time you access the system you will be asked to create a brief user profile. Once you are registered you can use the system to make requests. You will also have the ability to track the status of your requests online.
Please remember that interlibrary loan requests take time, particularly for a book that is difficult to find. Don't wait until the last minute to make your request, allow at least two weeks.

Holds and recalls
When an item you want is checked out, you may place a Hold on it so that the item is held for you when it is returned. You can place a Hold yourself through the WorldCat Local or request that a Hold be placed at the Circulation desk. If an item you need is not due back until the end of the academic year please check with staff at the Circulation desk. We will try to get the item returned for you.
As a capstone student you can check out books owned by the A Frank Smith Library for the entire semester. However please remeber that books obtained through interlibray loan are subject to the loan period of the institution that owns the item.
